The Autumnal Equinox™ CoffeeStory
Our debut Autumnal Equinox™ coffee comes to us from the island of Flores in the Lesser Sunda Islands of Eastern Indonesia. Blue Flores coffee—called "Blue" due to the blue appearance of the green beans prior to roasting—is grown under the shade of exotic Erythrina, Albizia and Laucauna trees, lending the beans an earthy, wild and unique profile we find so appropriate for the transition into Autumn.
Medium Roast is the optimal level for many blends where the flavor of the bean is accentuated more than the toastiness of the roast. The coffee flavors are more developed than in a Light Roast, the body is heavier, hints of spiciness start to develop, and flavors and aromas from the roasting process come to the surface.
